The Crucible: Elizabeth Proctor

Elitzabeth is one of the main characters in the book “the crucible”, by Arthur Miller 1953, and the wife of protagonist John Proctor. When she first appears in the book she seem to have a cold, not really lovely character, but not in the way the she is really mean, her behavior is totally understandable, when you get to notice that her husband had an affair with their ex- maid Abigal Williams, what started the hole tragedy. During the hole drama she changes just a little bit (in my opinion the change is more on the readers side as the story goes along and you get to know her better), it turns out that her negative qualities are also her good ones, she is a standfast, honest woman which holds on really strong to her virtues.
